Game design
Make pursuit readable in an action game
A chase creates pressure when the player understands what is approaching and what choices remain. Threat direction, speed and distance need readable feedback before the moment of failure.
Use obstacles to create decisions rather than random interruptions. Give the player a chance to learn a hazard in a safer setting, then combine familiar hazards as the pace increases.
After a failed run, show enough context for the player to identify the cause. A quick restart helps learning when the next attempt begins with a clear plan rather than another unexplained surprise.
