What multiplayer changes in a classic game
A classic game played with another person can produce a different rhythm from solo play. Alternating turns creates anticipation; simultaneous play creates cooperation, competition or both.
When adapting multiplayer to a new environment, preserve the information players need. Show whose turn it is, how a round ends and what happens when a player disconnects. Network delay must be considered in the rules and feedback.
Study a short local match before designing online features. Record moments when players talk, wait or dispute a result. Those moments reveal where a new interface needs clearer state or a better transition.
