Game development
Design a clear scoring rule
A score should reward the action the game wants to encourage. State the rule in plain language, then inspect whether a player can increase the number through an unintended shortcut.
Try a no-risk strategy and a skilled strategy under the same conditions. If both earn the same result, reconsider how progress and risk contribute.

Work through a small code example, make one deliberate change and record the effect. The reading links below connect this exercise with animation, input and retro game design.
