Read seasonal game commercials as short design arguments

A commercial has little time to show why a game or system is desirable. It chooses a few recognizable moments and an implied audience, leaving much of the actual interaction off screen.

Watch for the relationship between the shown controls and the on-screen result. Also note whether the commercial emphasizes individual skill, family play, competition or novelty.

Write the promise in one sentence, then compare it with a short play session where possible. This is a useful exercise in separating presentation from the complete experience. No commercial video is hosted here.
