Review a game project with useful milestones
A retrospective becomes useful when it connects a milestone with a lesson. Choose a playable build, a technical decision or a playtest result and explain what changed because of it.
Keep successes and unresolved problems together. A feature may have improved control while increasing load size; documenting that tradeoff helps the next project make a deliberate choice.
Finish with a small repeatable practice: a clearer brief, an automated build or a shorter playtest loop. A concrete lesson makes a retrospective useful for the next project.
