Compare retro gaming product claims with actual use

A period advertisement is evidence of a claim, not proof that the product delivered it. Keep the wording of the promise separate from observations about the device or service.

Group claims by purpose: learning, control, storage, protection and status. A flashy product can be assessed through ordinary questions about fit, durability and whether the task becomes easier.

Build a comparison sheet that lists the claim, the conditions required and the result of a specific test. This method gives a fairer critique than treating every unusual product as a failure in advance.
