Read early game-career promises with care
Advertisements about a future in games can reveal how an industry was imagined. They may combine real skills with vague promises, making it useful to separate the activity being taught from the career being suggested.
Look for a concrete curriculum, examples of work and an honest description of effort. A course name or association with games does not establish the value of the training.
For a practical learning plan, define a small project you can finish and show: a playable rule, a documented tool or a clear visual study. A portfolio grows from demonstrated work rather than an advertising promise.
