Record clear game demonstrations

A gameplay recording should show the mechanic clearly. Set a fixed capture region around the playfield, hide unrelated windows and run through the sequence before recording. Keep the pointer visible only when it helps explain the interaction.

Choose a frame rate the machine can sustain while both the game and capture process run. A small, stable recording is easier to assess than a large file with dropped frames. Record audio separately if narration causes the demonstration to stall.

Keep source captures for editing and export a broadly playable video for sharing. Add captions for instructions and avoid relying on audio alone to explain success, failure or input. CamStudio-oriented workflows follow these same capture principles.

A repeatable capture checklist

  1. Reset the game to a known level and score.
  2. Capture a short input sequence that demonstrates one feature.
  3. Review text legibility and audio balance.
  4. Export a short clip with captions and a descriptive title.
